It's been a good 12 months for Cubs fans. They got to celebrate their first World Series victory in over 100 years but for one Emmy nominated actress, it got even better.

Elisabeth Moss, nominated for her starring role in Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale, found out she was up for the award by her publicist with an email that included a GIF of Cubs slugger Anthony Rizzo.

Moss told TV Guide, "I woke up to a GIF from my publicist Erica, of a shirtless Anthony Rizzo" and "knew it was good news (because a shirtless Rizzo is always good news) but 13 is blowing my mind."

Moss, a huge Cubs fan, previously nominated for her roles in Mad Men, told late night host, Seth Meyers, she used the ups and downs of the Cubs 2016 playoff run to enhance her performance in The Handmaid's Tale.

You have to wonder if she's watched a whole lot of Cubs baseball this year. Through 88 games, the Cubs are 43-45 and have underachieved and underwhelmed.

Moss should be able to channel a ton of angst out of this year's Cubs team too.
