Another reason to love Starbucks, they're paying for their employees to get a college degree. There's one small catch.

With a child who's a junior in high school, there's a lot of college talk in my house as of lately. Our mailbox is overloaded with post cards and letters from colleges from across the country and with those letters come the conversations about how to choose the best one and more importantly, how to pay for it.

Thankfully, my son has a lot of options and we're really trying to put him on the right path to success. Currently he wants to go to the University of Minnesota, but I'm trying to persuade him to keep his options open, especially after Stanford University offered free tuition for those whose families made less than $125,000. It's a stretch, but I told him it didn't hurt to apply. If that doesn't pan out, he can always get a job at Starbucks and still get a free education.

Starbucks has announced that they will be offering free tuition for a full four years to it's employees and they aren't even expected to stick around once they get their degree. The offer is open to all employees who work 20 hours or more a week, with one little catch - they can only get it online; through one institution- Arizona State University.  Seems pretty fair if you ask me.

This is extremely encouraging news, especially for those of you who would love to go back to school. Sure, it may require you to get a part time job at Starbucks, but I could think of worse jobs. Besides, just think, all that money you're saving on tuition will be enough to buy you and your friends Starbucks for the entire time you're getting your degree.
