When people find out that I'm from Minnesota, one of the first things I get asked is this, "Is 'Minnesota nice' really a thing?"

Without hesitation, the answer is always "YES." Niceness is practically woven into the fabric of Minnesotans; it's not just a saying, it's a way of life. Ask anyone from Minnesota to help you with anything and they will always go out of their way to find a way to have your back...not just because it's nice, but because it's the right thing to do.

Unless, you're Arie Luyendyk Jr.

After he dissed Minnesota native, Becca K, on the season finale of The Bachelor, a Minnesota State Representative started a campaign to present a bill banning Arie from the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

According to Newsweek, Drew Christensen tweeted,

It didn't take long for him to get the 1,000 tweets that he needed...

Now that that's done, everyone can...and will...get back to more important matters of business, like gun control.
