Stephenson County Needs Residents to Report Flood Damage

The information you provide will be helpful in requesting disaster assistance from the State of Illinois.

Stephenson County government officials are asking you to reach out to the Damage Assessment Call Center to report all details of weather related damage your family sustained during the storms from July 20 - July 23, 2017. The call center's number is 815-801-0004 and calls are accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Here's the list of information you'll need to provide:

• Address affected
• Info about address (single family, multi-family, own, rent, business, etc.)
• Depth of water in basement/crawl space
• Depth of water on first floor
• Basement living area
• Insurance info
• Structural damage
• Name & phone number

Also make sure you document all damage with video or pictures. Plus keep all your receipts related to purchases or expenses as a result of the storm and clean up.
