My five-month-old son doesn't like to sit around. His favorite activity is to be held either by his mother or myself.

Sometimes, you need a break. Like last night, when even though we were right next to him, he didn't like the idea of not sitting on someone's lap.

You see, he was sitting on the floor. Not good enough. That's when I whistled at him in an attempt to get him to stop whining and hollering.

The whistle worked, just a light whistle to grab his attention. He stared and had this look on his face like he was trying to figure out where the sound was coming from.

Sadly, it wasn't going to last forever. I mean, I needed to breathe thus giving him reason to fuss.

I then handed my infant son to his mother. Things were much better after that.
