It’s official – er, officially possible. Seinfeld has long been seen as the holy grail of potential TV revivals, and its star and co-creator finally concedes that Jerry, Elaine, George and Kramer may join the ranks of iconic TV shows brought back for an encore.
It wasn’t long after Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ sixth Emmy victory lap that we learned troubling news of the Veep star’s breast cancer. Treatment has been progressing in good spirits, though executive producers have now confirmed that the seventh and final HBO season will put off filming to accommodate Louis-Dreyfus’ good health.
Selina Meyer may no longer be the President, and Veep may no longer be satire, but we’ll nonetheless get a glimpse at what could have been in Season 6. HBO has given an executive order for an April premiere, one we’ll happily comply with.
