At long last, all our efforts to brave another SNL season will pay off when distinguished alum Fred Armisen takes the stage to host the Season 41 finale. Armisen hasn’t exactly been a stranger to Studio 8H, but seems a bit forgetful in his first SNL finale promos with fellow veteran Kate McKinnon.

From the network that brought you Heroes Reborn and Chicago: Surely Are Other Professions We’ve Not Yet Covered, it’s a spinoff of The Blacklist! Yes, NBC has granted an official series order to the Famke Janssen-led Blacklist: Redemption, while the main series itself remains without its co-lead.

It’s taken far longer than a trip over the rainbow to finally get NBC Wizard of Oz reboot Emerald City clicking its heels, but even without a formal premiere date, the first official photos of the Tarsem Singh-directed series have arrived. We’ve wondered for a few weeks now if SNL would appoint one or two hosts to finish out Season 41 beyond Room star Brie Larson’s turn this weekend, and the Views are officially in. Not only will Drake host the penultimate hour, SNL great Fred Armisen will lead the season finale.

SNL hasn’t yet revealed its final host of Season 41, let alone what, if any cast turnover to expect in Season 42, but a notable change is already afoot. The NBC mainstay will cut at least two commercial breaks from live airings next season, but what might replace the additional runtime?

The first official promos have arrived, as Julia remembers her classic SNL role … singular … as well as her hit HBO series, Beep.

Now that SNL has picked up steam in April after Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage’s odd, but amusing guest turn, it’s Russell Crowe’s turn to flex his comedic chops. The first official promo has arrived with Crowe drinking (what else) alongside Leslie Jones, showing off just how “funny” he can be.
