For the last few nights or so, my boyfriend and I have been making the most of the fall autumn nights on the couch, with warm blankets, hot chocolate and scary movies; it's just our own little way of getting into the Halloween spirit. Well, maybe it's more my way because I don't do the whole haunted house, corn maze and terrorizing hayride thing. Do you?

If you're like me and prefer to be terrified in the comfort of your own home, there might actually be something out there that we could enjoy with our frightfest loving friends, mostly because I imagine it's harder for monsters to catch you when you're traveling at 30 miles per hour in a rail car; it's a haunted train ride.

This is the first time I've ever heard of one and fortunately for us, this Train of Terror isn't very far away.  Only in Your State says the Rock River Thresheree offers "haunted train rides that will truly scare you" and it's less than an hour away in Edgerton, Wisconsin.

According to the Haunted Train of Terror's Facebook page,

Each day we start with The Spooky Halloween Train for the younger ones and those faint of heart. Then, once the sun goes down, we move up to the Haunted Train of Terror! This ride is not for young children; parental guidance is strongly recommended.

They also have refreshments, games of the kids and crafts.

There is one thing, though, that isn't very scary, and that's that cost. It's just $6 for those aged 7 and up , $4 for those aged 3-6 years, and free for those 2 and under.
