When it comes to patience I have zero; it's not something I'm proud of and I'm working on it everyday. I'm just always in a hurry to get somewhere; even if it's nowhere. I know I'm not the only one. We live in a world of instant gratification. When we want something we want it now; even if it's something as small as being the first to get through a check out line...and fast.

I've been on both sides of this story. I've been a Target guest and I've also been a Target employee and as an employee it's required that you learn how to cashier. I'll be honest, I hated it, but it's part of the gig.  I was much better at stocking shelves than I was at being a cashier. Cashiers need to be kind, efficient and above all patient. Ishmael, a cashier at the Indy Glendale Target, is all of those things and one of his guests shared her story about her transaction with him.

Sarah Bigler went into the store with her two young children and was hoping to get in and out. When she picked a line with just one person in it, she thought her prayers had been answered but her trip was delayed because the one person in front of her was an elderly woman who was paying for each of her purchases with loose change; instead of being annoyed by the situation (which most of us would be), Bigler's perspective quickly changed as she explained in this Facebook post.

I see a management position in this young man's future. He could change many of Target's guest's experiences by just setting an example for other employees. Way to go, Ishmael.
