Teacher of the Week: Mr. New from Rockford Lutheran Academy

Congratulations to our newest Teacher of the Week, Mr. New from Rockford Lutheran Academy.

Mr. New scored beautiful flowers from Broadway Florist and delicious cupcakes from Sugar Jones.

The winning nomination came from Jim Torres, Jim writes:

Mr. New is an excellent fourth grade teacher. This is his first year teaching at the grade school level and the kids love him. I have watched him interact with his students, he is caring and compassionate to all the students he teaches.

Recently, Mr. New started an after school program called "I can". Any student can stay after and receive extra help with their homework from Mr. New. He does this with his own free time, and the program is free for the students who wish to participate.

Mr. New is always smiling and is a positive role model for his fourth grade students. Mr. New is an excellent example of outstanding teaching, and Rockford Lutheran Academy is fortunate to have him. Please nominate him 97ZOK’s Teacher of The Week."
