Teacher of the Week: Mrs. Brooks from Maud E Johnson School

Congratulations to our teacher of the week, Mrs. Brooks from Maud E. Johnson School.

Mrs. Brooks scored cupcakes from Sugar Jones, flowers from Broadway Florist, and $50 in services from Xeno Salon & Day Spa.

The winning submission came from Summer Svedin. She tells 97ZOK:

Mrs. Brooks is a 4th grade teacher. She is a caring and amazing teacher who believes in making her kids be independent. She makes sure all of her students are taken care of.

My son doesn't like sweets. Strange I know! She hands out candy for doing their work. She came to me and said Luke doesn't like candy, what can I give him? Its things like that that have shown me she truly cares. She also wants them to feel comfortable to come and talk to her personally about situations where she can help. I'm grateful to her already for making my child more independent than he already is. Mrs. Brooks truly deserves this award, 97ZOK’s Teacher of The Week."
