Teacher Of The Week: Mrs. Hulsey From West View Elementary School

Congratulations to our brand new teacher of the week, Mrs. Hulsey from West View Elementary School.

The moment I walked through her door, she was a great big mixture of tears and joy. It's not every day that someone walks into a teacher's classroom with flowers in one hand and cake in another.

Mrs. Hulsey was so excited to win a gift certificate from Oriental Trading Company where she could buy treats for her classroom, an enormous cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a beautiful arrangement from Broadway Florist.

Angela Hawthorne sent in the winning nomination. She had this to say about Mrs. Hulsey:

Mrs. Hulsey is an amazing 1st grade teacher! Her extraordinary
support, knowledge, and dedication to her students is truly amazing! Mrs. Hulsey finds
new and exciting ways to keep the children engaged.

Mrs. Hulsey went above and beyond by reaching out to members of the community and
was able received a book sponsorship this year, so every month each and every one of
her students will be given a FREE book to build their home library!!! She makes learning
so much fun pushing kids to do their very best!

They have already had a dance party, as well as a jump rope party. Great job Mrs.
Hulsey on behalf of the entire class!!!!!
