Teacher of the Week: Mrs. Stockton from Jefferson High School

Congrats to our newest Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Stockton from Jefferson High School!

Mrs. Stockton scored cupcakes from Sugar Jones, a beautiful floral arrangement from Broadway Florist and $50 in services at Xeno Salon and Spa.

The winning nomination came from Kara Walter. Kara writes:

Mrs. Stockton is an amazing art teacher and artist. She is so dedicated to what she does. If something is not right she goes all the way out of her way to fix it or get it straightened out. She makes sure that you have all the best supplies to work with and will not let you begin a project until she knows that you are ready, and she will sit and tell you what you need to do and what to fix over and over until your piece of artwork is completely finished.

 

But she is involved in so many other extra things. I remember when I used to look at art and think, "how did someone draw that?" or "I would never be able to do that," but after having Mrs. Stockton for the past three years, I understand that it is actually all pretty easy, she has taught me that it takes a lot of work, time and focus but nothing is impossible. "
