Congratulations to our newest Teacher of the Week, Mrs. Weldon from Harlem High School's ninth grade campus.

Mrs. Weldon was rewarded with beautiful flowers from Broadway Florist and delicious cupcakes from Sugarjones.

The winning nomination came from Alyssa Hanley, Alyssa writes:

Mrs. Weldon should be 97ZOK's Teacher of the Week because she is the nicest, and most encouraging teacher I have ever met.

Going into my freshman year, I was a little nervous about learning a new language, and I wasn't sure if I was even going to enjoy the class. But after the first day of being in her class, I enjoyed Spanish and I wanted to learn even more of it because of her.

Every day I look forward to going into her class because she always has a bright smile, and an amazing attitude that keeps my attention set forward on the topic the whole class period. Mrs. Weldon never laughs, or judges us on when we miss pronounce words. Instead, she walks us through the material to make sure we understand it well. I am never afraid to ask her questions, and she always lets us know when we are doing well, or when we need to improve on our studying. Because of her, I will be taking Spanish classes past my freshman year.

This teacher is absolutely amazing and she definitely deserves to be 97ZOK's teacher of the week.
