The 5 Most Romantic Hotel Getaways In Chicago

If you're looking for time away to focus on love for the weekend with your significant other, you can't miss with this list. Even if you never leave the hotel (or room).

While four of the hotels on this list are actually in Chicago, I'm adding one to this list, from timeout.com, that isn't actually in the city.

1. Soho House

With everyone of these hotels you're going to find tremendous food, beautiful rooms and a staff focused on your comfort and satisfaction. So ultimately what it will come down to is cost and the spaces that set your moods. Soho House, in the West Loop, has some incredible outdoor space, for dining and swimming.

2. Peninsula Chicago

Again, it's all about spaces and the Peninsula is right in the heart of downtown Chicago. And you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who's ever stayed here to not give a 5-star review. The Peninsula is for those ready to splurge.

3. Conrad Chicago

At the Conrad, your room will be a modern paradise. I've stayed here twice and you can't miss if you want to stay in the hotel all weekend. However, Michigan Avenue shopping is steps away, so good luck avoiding that.

4. Waldorf Astoria Chicago

Because sometimes you just have to experience the finer things in life. There really is nothing else to say.

5. Herrington Inn & Spa, Geneva, IL

Just a couple of months ago I stayed here for an entire weekend for a wedding. My girlfriend and I had the most wonderful time, on every level. I highly recommend a balcony room overlooking the courtyard. The Herrington sits on the Fox River and if quieter is what you need for romance, this is it. If you love wine, this place has an amazing selection.
