‘The Boy Is Mine’ Remake Is Coming [VIDEO]

Let me take you to back in time. It's 1998, you're in junior high, and you're watching TRL on MTV waiting to see whether the Backstreet Boys or N*Sync will take the top spot today.

Then, a new video pops up, it's two girls fighting over one dude. Brady and Monica, "The Boy is Mine."

Sure, junior high girls love being boy band groupies, but, their real favorite thing to do is belt out a girl power song. Even if it's about not knowing if your boyfriend has another girlfriend...

I might know all the words to "The Boy Is Mine," and I might be singing it at my desk as I'm typing this. I might also be really interested in the fact that Jessie J. and Ariana Grande are revamping the song for the junior high girls of 2014.

I'm thinking Ariana will be the Brandy and Jessie J. will take on Monica's role and I can't wait to hear it.

But I'll settle for the original until the single comes out. Get your overalls and scrunchies ladies.
