The Emotional Trailer for the Chris Farley Documentary, ‘I Am Chris Farley’

It opens in limited release on July 31st, with insights from David Spade, Adam Sandler, Dan Aykroyd, Mike Myers, Saturday Night Live boss Lorne Michaels and more.

The first trailer for the film, directed by Brent Hodge and Derik Murray, first premiered on BuzzFeed on Monday, and promises an emotional look at the late comedian. It will premiere on Spike on Aug. 10, before its release on VOD and DVD on Aug. 11.

Chris Farley was a legend to those of us from Madison, Wisconsin, Chris's hometown, before he ever showed up on Saturday Night Live. Chris Farley was as lovable and kind as you'd imagine and his quick success, in my opinion, is what took him from us all.

Chris died of a drug overdose in 1997, at the age of 33, the same age John Belushi was when he died of a drug overdose in 1982.
