Video game addiction is not something new. Kid's have been getting addicted to video games for years now. However, Fortnite is not like all of the other video games out there. This game has taken over the gaming world like no game i've ever seen before. People are utterly OBSESSED with this game. But how obsessed is too obsessed? One parent found out.

The mother of a 17-year old says her son plays the game for 12 hours a day. His teachers have started complaining of him falling asleep in class and his grades slipping. His mom said -

We'd made some progress in getting him to cut down his Fortnite hours and get better sleep, but he's slipped back into his old habits. I've never seen a game that has such control over kids' minds.

With more than 200 million players, specialists are comparing getting hooked on the game to getting hooked on heroin. The World Health Organization designated "gaming disorder" as a disease for the first time in June, a move that could make it easier for parents to seek reimbursement for treatment from insurers. This insurance is needed for video game rehab. Yeah... video game rehab exists.

It's recommended that kids under 10 do not play video games and if your kids do you monitor and limit their play.
