The Rockford Area is Blessed with So Many Amazing Teachers

The Golden Apple Award list is out and this year there are 357 teachers nominated.

We have so many outstanding teachers here in the Stateline area, and it is that time of year where they are recognized. A total of 357 teachers were nominated this year from Boone and Winnebago counties. This year it was only middle and high school teachers that made the list. You can find the full list at wrex.com.

These amazing teachers were nominated by teachers, parents, and colleagues over the last month. This is just the beginning of the process as now they will have to respond with essays and letters of recommendation. A total of 5 teachers will receive the award. What a huge honor for these teachers to be nominated. They work so hard teaching and molding our children, getting ready to send them out in the world, and do not get compensated nearly enough for all that they do.
