The Rockford Police Department Has the Cure for Winter Boredom With Free Family Movie Matinees

You know what I love about the Rockford Police Department? They are always actively looking for ways to connect with our community.

Whether it's "Shop with a Cop," having coffee with residents at a local Dunkin Donuts or playing a random game of pickup with kids at the park, our officers really go above and beyond to bond with the residents that they serve and protect everyday.

Here's an even better opportunity for you and your kids to spend some time with the department- the district one police station is turning their community room into a movie theater and are holding family movie matinees.

And in case you missed the fine print, these dates coincide with when the kids are out of school.
