Twenty years ago, you called your grandma and asked her to send you a recipe for her special Thanksgiving mashed potatoes, in 2014, we usually leave grandma alone and turn to Google.

We are into the busiest recipe Google-ing weeks of the year and to have a little fun with it, Google researchers came up with a list of the most Googled Thanksgiving recipes by state and I was pretty surprised that in Illinois, the most Googled recipe this time of year is "Hawaiian salad."

What? Really?

This is surprising to me for many reasons, the first being that Hawaiian salad is the easiest thing anyone ever made. I have a recipe, from one of my grandmas, and it seriously involves emptying cans of fruit into a giant bowl along with sour cream and marshmallows.

Next on the list for IL, "taffy apple salad," then "pumpkin bars, bacon wrapped dates, cheesy hashbrown casserole."

The top item for Wisconsin is "brownberry stuffing," followed by "pistachio fluff." I'm probably gonna Google that right now, but I'm not sure I want to know what it is...

All of the 50 states have a pretty unique top searched item and you can find the full list here.

What recipe did you Google this week?
