This December, magical ice castles will be waiting for you to see just an hour from Rockford!

Before you plan out all your holiday plans and must-sees, make sure you leave room for this one.

The Ice Castles will be coming to Lake Geneva towards the end of December and it's certainly something you, your special someone and family need to see.

Fox6Now shares that "Lake Geneva will transform the winter" into beautiful ice castles.

Once it opens at the end of December, you can enjoy walking through the "life-size winter playgrounds [made] entirely by hand. The ice is illuminated inside the castles at night with color-changing LED lights that twinkle to music. They feature ice-carved tunnels, fountains, slides, frozen thrones and towering ice formations."

Oh, how cool.

What a great concept. They're taking something we all dread, the cold and snow and turned it into something fun, beautiful and exciting to see. That really is turning a negative into a positive.

I'm not much of an outdoor winter fan but, this is something I want to see.
