My parents would always get the same type of fireworks for my sister and me every year to set off with the other neighborhood kids. It was something along the lines of poppers, sparklers, and fire snakes.

Now this year it looks like you can make your own fire snakes from a couple of household items.

With just sugar, baking soda, lighter fluid, some sand, and a lighter you too can DIY fire snakes this Fourth of July. Just make sure to do so safely.
