The deadline to add a little sauce to motorists lives is ending very soon.

I'm sure you've seen them all over the roadways, you know, the witty highway message signs? Personally, I see them every morning while cruising down US 20.

The messages usually pertain to distracted or impaired driving, seat belts, speeding, or work zone safety.

Well, it looks like the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) can only be so creative.

That's why IDOT created a "Dynamic Message Sign Contest" asking motorists to send in some of their own to add a little fun to the message boards.

Winners will have their message displayed statewide, along with a personalized sign (of your created message) followed by social media mentions "to more than 100K followers" according to IDOT.

I'd hate to rush creativity but you're running out of time. Deadlines for submissions are due by Monday, November 19.
