This Rockford Area Pizza Place Might Serve Up The Best Thick-Thin Crust Pie Around

A Facebook recommendation convinced me I needed to take a trip out of Rockford to see if Oregon, Illinois pizza place serves the best pie in the area.

The recommendation said I should try a mushroom and bacon calzone at Father & Son Pizzeria at 137 South 4th Street in Oregon.

Since I'm not on the hunt for the best calzone, I took the ingredients and had Father & Son  Pizzeria throw them on top of a large pizza.
