A local labor union is eliminating one of the biggest excuses/reasons people can't get to their polling place on Election Day; "I can't get a ride."

If that was the reason you were planning on using to get of having to vote on November 6th, you'll have to find another one, (or do the right thing and just VOTE!).

According to mystateline.com, the UAW Union is offering FREE rides to polling places to all residents of Boone and Winnebago Counties now through midterm Election day on November 6.

UAW Local Political Coordinator John Gedney told WTVO;

We send a courtesy vehicle with two people," That vehicle will bring them to the polls regardless of their party affiliation."

These UAW vehicles are running daily from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. now and will be available all day long on Tuesday, November 6.

Please, if you need a ride, do not hesitate to take advantage of the service by calling 815-323-2985. This midterm election is extremely important, and every vote will make a difference.
