Uber Ride Sharing Launches In Rockford

Need a ride? The ride sharing app, Uber, has finally made it's way to Rockford!

If you're new to Uber, it's pretty easy. Download the app to your phone, create a user name and password, input your credit card info, and you're in.

Looking at the Uber website shows the rates for the Rockford area.

The base rate is $2, followed by what appears to be $.20 a minute and $1.65 per mile.

According to the video, Uber has a couple of different levels of transportation you can purchase.

In Rockford, we only get one, UberX, which is considered the low cost option.

Car samples for Uber X are a Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Nissan Ultima.
