Ugliest Building in Illinois Is Surprisingly Not in Rockford
Rockford has become known for making several infamous lists lately. Well guess what? Here's one we didn't make.
We are not home to the ugliest building in Illinois. Sorry, but Chicago takes the cake on this one. According to Business Insider, the ugliest building award in Illinois goes to the Thompson Center located at 100 W. Randolph Street in the Loop district of Chicago.
The James R. Thompson center houses offices of Illinois State Government. Which kind of adds to is (lack of) charm.
There were a couple other buildings in Chicago that came close to getting the top spot, one of them was Marina Towers. Those towers have a pretty cool history.
Pretty sure I've seen uglier. But I'm just happy they didn't pick a building in a Rockford.
