There's a difference between being a Cubs fan and going over the top with your fandom.

That's what Grant DePorter is doing with his fandom, you know, going over the top. DePorter bought Kris Bryant's cleats, the same cleats he was wearing while playing in game 7 of the World Series.

NBC 5 in Chicago says DePorter is also a big forensics guy, so he had the cleats tested to see if there was some sort of "divine intervention."

After he got the cleats back, DePorter noticed that dirt collected on the bottom of Bryant's cleats looks like long time Cubs announcer Harry Caray's face among other things.

Watch the video to see if you agree, seems like a stretch to me. It looks like a guy who still can't believe it really happened. The "it" being the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series.

All I can tell DePorter is, yes, it did happen. It wasn't fate, or dirt or something Harry Caray did from the after life. For the first time in 108 years, the Cubs were just better than everyone else.
