Walmart to Hire 250,000 Illinois Veterans and More by 2020

On Memorial Day 2013, Walmart announced a veteran hiring initiative that has produced excellent results. The retail giant is upping their goal and you can help.

That initiative started in 2013 is called, Veterans Welcome Home Commitment and since it began, Walmart had hired 130,000 veterans across the U.S. with over 3,600 in Illinois, according to wrex.com. The Welcome Home Commitment guarantees a vet a job within a year leaving the military and only if they were honorably discharged.
