The Heimlich maneuver has been taught to students for years, and in the case of a student in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the training paid off.   On Thursday, video released by Central High School shows student sitting in the lunch room eating. When student Will Olson starts to choke, his fellow student, freshman Ian Brown, jumps into action and performs the Heimlich maneuver.

Ian is truly a hero. Fox 32 reports that:

Brown learned the Heimlich as part of his first aid training as a Police Explorer with the La Crosse Police Department.
