A Wisconsin plant has been linked to Goldfish and Ritz cracker recall.

WREX shares that the Associated Milk Producers Inc. (AMPI) plant in Blair, WI is the source of where the salmonella came from.

This plant is responsible for drying the whey powder that is later dusted on the goldfish and Ritz Bitz crackers.

The contaminated whey powder was "produced between May and June. Routine testing found some of that powder tested positive for salmonella. The plant has stopped production and is investigating" along with the FDA's investigation.

As of this time, no illnesses have been reported.

However if someone contracts salmonella the symptoms include: "fever, diarrhea and more serious infections in children and the elderly."
