Being single is the pits, just ask any of my single girlfriends who use the dating app, Tinder. After spending a couple of hours going through my best friend's profile, in hopes of finding someone I thought she should go out with, I found myself swiping left on 86% of the profiles. (And for those of you not familiar with the app, swiping left is a bad thing) It's rough out there for daters, but sometimes, the juice is worth the squeeze; especially if it leads you to "the one."

That's precisely how I feel about moving. Settling down somewhere is just as tedious, but equally important, as settling down with someone.

So let's say, instead of searching Trulia, Zillow or some official Illinois website for all the hot attractions and fun things to do, the Land of Lincoln was on Tinder; based on their profile, would you swipe right?

Here's what the profile would say, you'll want to check out  the original profile by Mandatory:

Compared to the other 50 states' profiles, this is actually pretty sweet and at least there's some hope for a commitment. Check out the rest of the profiles here.
