Margarita Monday anyone?

National Margarita Day might be the best holiday we just recently started celebrating.

I don't know about you, but I wasn't aware of all these amazing food and drink holidays until a few years ago, but I'm so excited that we know about them now! Especially today's holiday, National Margarita Day, also my mom's birthday... February 22.

Margaritas are my boat, so I'll take any excuse to drink one. You can make your own, or head to one of the top 5 places for margaritas in Rockford, according to Yelp. Which of these places is your favorite?

  1. Lucha Cantina - "the margaritas are all made in house (no artificial juices) and they make with REAL fruit"
  2. Mexico Clasico Restaurant - "The tortillas were fantastic and the margarita  was - ay, ay, ya, ya!"
  3. DOS Reales Mexican Restaurant - "The margaritas are usually pretty good. The frozen ones are noticeably weaker than on the rocks, and pretty much all flavors are tasty. Even the virgin frozen margaritas are great."
  4. Taqueria San Jose - "Margaritas: these are cheap, sweet, and because they're cheap you can afford  to buy more than one (and it's takes more than one to get to happy hour bc these are a bit dilute)."
  5. Bahia Restaurant - " House margaritas are $4.50 and a half pitcher is $9.00."
