It's not the worst thing ever, but it sure is annoying.

Hey, guess what? The Cubs won the World Series last year!

I know, you may have forgotten, so I wanted to remind you. It was a big deal and play-off game tickets were going for thousands of dollars.

There's a very large chance some Cubs fans are still paying for their play-off debt.

This year, the debt might come sooner.

According to NBC 5, Cubs play-off ticket requests will come with a $50 deposit.

That's right, you'll have to put up $50 just to get in the Cubs ticket lottery for play-off seats.

On the flip side, the money will be refunded to you at the end of the season if you don't get selected to purchase tickets. If you do get the opportunity, then you can use that deposit toward your seats.

While it's not the most terrible thing, it will definitely prevent a whole slew of Cubs fans from entering the lottery, including me. I will however ask my sister to enter.
