You know... you don't have to top your cupcakes with frosting.

You can use pudding and fruit.

Actually, you can pretty much top cupcakes with whatever you want to, but pudding and fruit is a fun, semi-healthy alternative to frosting, and really tastes and looks delicious.

I made these cupcakes for an American holiday, I'm thinking 4th of July, but it I was going to make them for Christmas, I would still use vanilla pudding and strawberries, or maybe chocolate pudding and strawberries.

The pudding soaks into the cupcake and filled the entire thing with moist-ness. Not a real word, but you get where I'm going here.

You can scoop some of the cupcake out if you want there to be a lot of pudding in each other, or you can just drop a spoonful or two on the top of it and decorate.

This works well with muffins too!
