It took a while but the wait is nearly over. An award-winning Aldi wine will finally be available in Rockford.

Well, I'm kind of hedging my bets on this one. NBC 5 Chicago says "The Exquisite Collection Cotes de Provence Rosé 2016 was ranked as one of the best in the world at the International Wine Challenge (also known as the "Oscars" of wine) in June."

So this $8 (or is $9) bottle of rose will be in Rockford. However, I'm not sure if it will be or not. It's safe to guess "yes" due to NBC 5 Chicago saying "the critically-acclaimed win goes on sale across the U.S. on September 20."

But is it really coming to Rockford? After searching for a phone number for a local Aldi in town, I decided to call the only number I could find on Google, 855.955.2534. Knowing it wasn't a local area code, I had my fingers crossed I would get some answered.

Instead, I got a recorded message. The message from Aldi was "the phone numbers to our stores are unlisted due to a streamlined staffing model which is part of our approach to efficiency that enables us to keep costs low for our customers."

Got it. Thanks Aldi. So will this rose the whole world is talking about be in Rockford on September 20 or what?
