Forget traditional movie theaters— pack your blankets, chargers, and tons of snacks because drive-in movie theaters are back in Illinois!

I'm a sucker for a drive-in movie theater.  I don't have a truck, but if someone let's me borrow theirs for the night I'll give them any amount of money... that's how much I love outdoor theaters.  There' something so "old school" and nostalgic about it.

MIDWAY DRIVE-IN - 91 Palmyra Road, Sterling, IL

This movie theater has a retro spaceship ticket booth, concession stands, and children under the age of 2 get free admission!

CHITOWN MOVIES2343 S. Throop St, Chicago, IL

Who doesn't love a full-service movie theater?! They deliver food, beverages, and snacks to your vehicle so you can enjoy the entire movie.

ROUTE 34 DRIVE IN4468 East 12th Rd., Earlville, IL

Watch movies under the stars, movies start at dusk.  There are three films playing this weekend, too!  Kids under 4 are free.

This old-timey cash-only drive-in theater in an open field features current films & concessions.

Oh, they never disappoint wit their food and drink menu.  There's so much to pick from!  They've been running For 71 continuous seasons since 1954 - that's crazy.
