From Machesney Park and all points north; driving all the way to the corner of Perryville Road and State Street for a chicken sandwich, will soon be over.

Chick-fil-A's irresistible spicy chicken sandwich. When I get that taste for one (and some of those incredible waffle fries) absolutely nothing else will satisfy. All four of my kids could eat a giant bucket of their nuggets. I actually wish they would sell them that way. I think we'd also need a big jar Chick-fil-A sauce.

The restaurant just introduced their first ever grilled option for the spicy chicken sandwich. I just tried it last night and it did not disappoint. Neither did the Cilantro Lime Sauce that was created just for this sandwich release.

grilled chicken marinated in a spicy seasoning, served on a toasted multigrain brioche bun with Colby-Jack cheese, lettuce and tomato," said the nationwide announcement.

Now comes word that a second Chick-fil-A location will be coming y to the Stateline area. Machesney Park Village Administrator James Richter II announced that the chicken chain will be building their new location on the southeast corner of Alpine and West Lane Rd (Highway 173).

The targeted opening date is within the next 24 months. I'm sure the COVID-19 pandemic is playing a role in the company's timeline. Hopefully, this project will open before too long.
