Illinois Bank & Trust recently presented a check to Crusader Clinic that will be used to offer free screenings for women.

The $11,500 donation will allow Crusader to provide mammograms for women who are uninsured or otherwise unable to afford the preventative screening, according to mystateline.com

From Illinois Bank & Trust's Facebook page:

The American Cancer Society recommends that women with an average risk for breast cancer start mammography at 45 and continue with annual mammograms through age 54. After 54, women at average risk can schedule mammography every other year. Women with a family history of breast cancer are considered to be at a higher risk for the disease and should consider screening at an earlier age.

One week ago, Delta Dental of Illinois Foundation made a $100,000 donation that will be used to hire a dentist and provide dental care for area students.
