When it comes to Halloween, candy is the real star of the show.  Forget the costumes, haunted houses, and pumpkin spice stuff.  No, it's all about the candy!

This year, our tastebuds have changed in Illinois.  America's favorite Halloween candy is none other than Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.  Honestly, not a huge shocker considering that is the iconic combo we all crave (maybe that's just me).

Right behind Reese's?  Kit Kat and Sour Patch Kids!  I do like both of those.  And we can't forget the classics!  Haribo Goldbears rounded out the list, proving that we love a good balance of chocolate and sour candies around here.

The top pick this year in Illinois is Hershey's Milk Chocolate with Almonds!  Honestly, one of my favorites in general.

I expected something more than just chocolate, but it makes sense.  Simple, classic, and it has the satisfying crunch of almonds that makes a regular chocolate bar look "bland".  Imagine getting home from trick-or-treating and not having a single chocolate bar in your bag.  I'd be so mad as a kid!
