Another hidden gem, one I had no idea even existed, is the Wizard of Oz Park in Chicago. As many times as I’ve been to the Windy City, I was completely unaware of this park.

Also known as Oz Park, it’s located near the Lincoln Park Zoo and celebrates the magical world of The Wizard of Oz. Kids can enjoy Dorothy’s Playlot, designed just for little ones. At the same time, visitors of all ages can stroll through the Emerald Garden and check out statues of the Tin Man, Scarecrow, Cowardly Lion, and, of course, Dorothy and Toto.

These best-kept secrets might be out, but if you're looking for something interesting and different, these hidden gems could be just the attractions you’re looking for.
