Emergency – Baby Powder in Missouri & Illinois is Asbestos Danger
There's a very popular baby powder that is now under an emergency recall in states including both Missouri and Illinois due to the presence of a dangerous contamination with asbestos.
The Food and Drug Administration just issued this emergency bulletin regarding the urgent recall of baby powder from Dynarex Corporation. This recall now affects more than 1,000 cases of baby powder that was widely available and this includes both Missouri and Illinois that are said to be contaminated with asbestos.
The FDA alert says that while asbestos is a common element found in talc which baby powder obviously consists of, the talc ore is supposed to be purified before deployment in baby powder like the one under the recall. Otherwise, it's inclusion is a known carcinogen and could be very dangerous especially for the young children this product is intended for.
