Each state has its iconic landmark. California has the Golden Gate Bridge, Illinois has the Bean in Chicago, and New York has the Statue of Liberty. Missouri's iconic landmark is a site that everyone in the world recognizes.

Missouri's Iconic Landmark

The Gateway Arch is that system for Missouri. The landmark stands 630 feet tall and is the world's tallest arch and Missouri's tallest accessible structure. I've only visited the Arch once (since its renovation) and it's a true experience. You learn so much about the Arch, St. Louis, and the Mississippi River, and of course, you get to ride little cars to the top of the arch and it's a sight you must see to believe.

The area where the Arch is located is just beautiful you get such a great view of the river and the renovation has made it the perfect place for wedding photos, graduation photos, and picnics. It took me over 30 years to visit the Arch.

Most of us probably think it's always going to be there and I see it every day (or every time you visit St. Louis),. but I promise to take the tour and take it all in., It's such a cool experience.
