Wisconsin Man Admits to Producing Child Pornography In Minnesota
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Wisconsin man has entered a guilty plea in federal court to producing a video depicting his sexual abuse of a minor in Minnesota.
That’s according to a news release issued Tuesday U.S. Attorney for Minnesota Andrew Luger. The case was opened as the result of Project Safe Neighborhood, an initiative started by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2006 to combat the sexual exploitation of children.
Court documents accuse 28-year-old Jason Lee of Manitowoc, WI of coercing a prepubescent minor to engage in sexual conduct in Minnesota in June of 2019. The purpose of the coercion was to produce child pornography, Luger says.
Lee admitted to one count of attempted production and production of child pornography in U.S. District Court on Monday. His sentencing hearing has not yet been scheduled.
The FBI, St. Paul Police Department and Manitowoc Police Department conducted the investigation that led to the guilty plea.
