Illinois Home Of NBA’s GOAT Finally Sells After A Dozen Years
I have a friend who dumped his real estate agent after 3 months of no action whatsoever on his for-sale home, so I'm super-impressed by the fact that Michael Jordan has been able to calmly wait 12 years for his iconic Highland Park mansion to finally have "sold" written next to its listing.
It's almost like Mike has some cash in reserve and another place to live or something. Most of us don't have that going for us when we decide to sell our homes, but then again, not many of us have 6 NBA titles and a net worth of over $3.5 billion dollars, so it appears we move in different worlds.
Regardless, if you've been saving up for the day you had enough to make a bid on Jordan's place--you've missed your shot.
Michael Jordan Is Probably Not Thrilled At The Final Price He Got On His Highland Park Estate, But He's Had To Lower The Price Twice During The Last 12 Years To Get It Moved
Jordan's estate, located at 2700 Point Lane in Highland Park was custom built for Jordan and his family back in the early 90s. Jordan bought the land in 1991 and moved into the home in 1995 The home then underwent a serious renovation in 2009.

When MJ first decided to sell the 7-acre estate back in 2012, it was listed at the astronomical price of $29,000,000, but with no solid takers showing up with a down payment, Jordan dropped the asking price nearly $15,000,000 down to $14,855,000 in 2015. That price was apparently still too high.
According to the online listing, the final selling price that Jordan agreed to was $9,500,000.
