The fall is my favorite time of year. The weather is perfect for hoodies. I love football season. The leaves are changing colors. Plus, Halloween is so much fun. Of course, there are all kinds of other traditions during that time of the year.

One of those traditions is the annual Horror Fest at the Midway Drive-In. It runs from Dusk to Dawn. That's something you don't get to enjoy every day. Imagine being out in the middle of nowhere during the middle of the night, watching scary movies. That would definitely be a frightening good time.

The Midway Drive-In opened in 1950 in Sterling, Illinois and has been in continuous operation ever since.

 

 

The Midway Drive-In is a genuine historical landmark as it is home to the oldest standing Drive-In screen in Illinois.

 

 

We are dedicated to preserving this Dixon Illinois, and Sterling, Illinois, historical landmark and paying tribute to the American tradition of the Drive-In Theatre.
