As someone from Northern Illinois, Wisconsin has always been my happy place. It's close to home and easy to get to. It's full of lakes and forests to splash in and explore. It's a great place to unwind and have fun with the ones I love most.

I have some many wonderful memories of times spent with family and friends in Wisconsin, but the one memory I haven't made yet is; waking up Christmas morning at our family cabin in Wisconsin.

Since spending Christmas morning at the cabin isn't going to happen this year, I know we will be heading North at some point in December.  My kids always beg to go to a waterpark in Wisconsin over Christmas break, but what else could we do that is more low-key this year?
