2025 Summer Bucket List: Why Pearl Lake Beach in Illinois is a Must-Visit
As spring arrives in Illinois, so do the announcements of summer fun to come, and we just received a big one from Pearl Lake in South Beloit!
Summer Fun in Illinois
Summer in Illinois means a lot of things; fairs and festivals, concerts, vacations, pools, beaches, camping, and so much more. If your summer social calendar is already filling up, make sure to leave some time open to visit Pearl Lake Beach in South Beloit.
I will admit that it's been many years since I last went to Pearl Lake, but it is one place I have always been meaning to take my kids each summer. I used to have SOO much fun there when I was younger, and that was before it looked anywhere close to this...
(I mean, does this Reel look like it was shot in Illinois to you?!? It gives me all the tropical island beach vibes!)
Pearl Lake Beach has had a major glow up in the last few years, and soon it will be opening for the 2025 season.
Obviously, April 12 seems a little early to have beach fun at Pearl Lake, BUT there are still many other things to enjoy there this Spring on the 207 acres of property.
Some of the things you can enjoy at Pearl Lake this summer include:
- Swimming
- Water sports (kayak, canoe, and paddleboard)
- Fishing
- Scuba diving
- An inflatable obstacle course on the water
- Volleyball
- Food Trucks
- New waterfront RV sites
Pearl Lake Opening Dates for 2025
Pearl Lake Beach will open for RV camping and scuba diving on April 12, but the swimming beach isn't set to open until Memorial Day weekend.
Daily beach passes are available, but if you'd like to rent an RV site for the summer, (no tent camping allowed), you better hop on pearlakebeach.com to reserve one before it's too late!
