When I was 9 years old, a Putt-Putt mini golf course and video arcade were just through the woods from our house.

There were times that I would walk past when the arcade was closed, and thoughts of sneaking in to play all the games would cross my mind, but then what would happen at home if I got caught would quickly change that thought.

FLOW Responds Via Social Media

In a post on Facebook, Colby from Flow Rockford released the following statement about the burglary and other recent incidents:

Sad situation for us and many businesses on state street who have been terrorized by these kids... I speak for many business owners on this street who have called, messaged, and offered further evidence of theft, arson, and bad behavior. This is the tip of iceberg on 6+ months of banning, trespassing, and working with local law enforcement to get these kids to see some consequences. As a business we've been forced to take a strong stance on parents dropping kids off and that's been met with resistance and combative behavior. Our goal is provide a safe outlet for the community to bring their kids. Knowing there's many in the community who think Flow isn't safe or that we're not actively working and fighting for everyone is disappointing. We can assure you, nobody takes this harder than us. We employ 35+ people in the community and will continue to improve, develop, and strive to be a strong supporter of the community. We're very open to suggestions as we continue to learn more and more everyday. Please email us contact us with any thoughts, feedback, or concerns we promise we hear you and we're committed to being better. Thank you! Flowrockford@gmail.com
Thanks,
-Colby and the rest of the Flow team.
